How far in advance should I book my boat charter?

During peak months, especially from November through April and during the holidays, we advise booking as early as possible, as we tend to get fully booked in advance.

Do you provide towels?

No. You will need to bring your own towels with you.

Are the tours suitable for children?

Absolutely! We welcome all ages! The crew is great with kids and all kids will love their day spent with the Ally Cat Crew. Elders too!

What is a customary tip?

If you feel that your captain and crew did an excellent job, a gratuity is a wonderful way to express your appreciation. Customary tips typically range from 15% to 20%.

What if I’m late for my boat charter? (Open trip )

If you are running late – Plz give us a call.

We’ll do our best to make up for the lost time at the end, as long as there’s no other charter booked after yours.

Can I bring my own music on board?

On private charters only ~

Our boats are equipped with a JL Audio sound system, perfect for setting the ambiance for any event you wish to have.

Will we see whales during whale season?

Humpback whales visit Banderas Bay from December to March, and we usually spot them daily—often multiple sightings! While we can’t guarantee it, our crew will do everything possible to make sure you get a great view. They love seeing the whales and also the smiles on our guests’ faces.

Do people get seasick?

Usually people do not get sea sick…

Boats are big and stable, ALSO usually our Bay is pretty calm !

We stay on the smoothest parts of the Bay, not going to the open sea.

If you’re worried about seasickness, we recommend taking half a seasickness pill about 12 hours before your charter and the other half closer to departure. 

You can also bring seasickness remedies from home: Wristbands, Non drowsy dramamine, patches etc…

If you’re unsure, check with your doctor for other suggestions.

Do you offer vegetarian and vegan options?

Yes! We offer vegetarian options on our tours — fresh, tasty, and satisfying. You won’t miss a thing.

Also….Our Menu is fine for Gluten free guests.

You can ask the chef for corn tortillas only.

What Marina does the boats depart from?

We depart from Marina La Cruz, In the town La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
